Returned a little while ago from high tea with [personal profile] annafdd and [personal profile] alexmc.

Anna made custard tarts, pancakes with choice of toppings, and a quiche. It was all delicious. There was jasmine green tea to die for.

I navigated The UnderTubes all by myself! Well, [profile] time_freak was with me, this is true, but she wasn't allowed to help. "Shhhh!" I said. "Don't help! Unless we look like ending up in Scotland." She was a little worried when I said I didn't know how to tell whether to we needed the northbound or southbound Victoria line, but that wasn't quite what I meant to say...I'm not sure how to explain what I meant to say, but I figured out which train I wanted.

It was all lovely, thanks again for having us over.

Well just so you know if you ever do end up in Scotland by mistake you can come have tea with me. I'll even pack you a lunch before putting you back on a train facing the right direction.

It was lovely having you. I think Anna does enjoy baking things far too much. Maybe we should have just done ice - lots and lots of ice.

:-)

Actually, that green tea was so good that I am looking at the remaining tea leaves that are drying out and thinking hmmmm I suppose there could be a few more cups in there...

Also, after I have tasted it the price tag makes a lot more sense. Whittard here I come. :-)

I'm just sorry that we were all so suffering from the heat to feel more like beached otters than people. At least I did. I felt like slipping in the cool surf and eat me some abalone but alas, no surf anywhere.

Now conch fritters sound good for some reason.
