Dreamwidth

Okay, look, I would really like an invite code, but I don't like asking for things.

If you have one going spare I would be happy to have it.

If you sign up your open source id there, they'll give you an invite code on April 30th or before. If you haven't used open source before, you already have an open source ID by having an LJ, and it would be esmeraldus-neo.livejournal.com

Just scoot on over to a dreamwidth page and fill out the open source sign-in.

I believe I've registered my OpenID and left a comment with it, unless there's more to it than that.

No, I think that's all we have to do to be eligible.

Have you registered and confirmed your email-adress, too?

I got an invite from their random draw, but they do only select from people who have confirmed their email-adresses.

what is it and why is everyone so keen to join? this is that replacement Lj thing?

Yup, that's exactly what it is. LJ without the corporation, all open-source. I am ... interested. Poking from a distance. Holding pattern, for as-and-when LJ goes belly-up or all my friends fall out with it.

Viz and to wit, I too have registered with an Open-ID.
